invites you to a Summer Series evening event (Level D) in

This is the fifth event in a series of six.


Parking and registration will be at Richmond School.  The grid reference is NZ 180013 and the postcode is DL10 7BQ.

Terrain: Typical urban terrain of housing estates and a modern school campus.
Long4.5 km with 100m climb    21 controls
Medium     3.4 km with 70m climb17 controls
Short2.4 km with 40m climb14 controls

Note: Competitors on the Medium and Long courses must be over 16 years old on the day of the event.

You can run a second course for free!  If you'd like to do this, please turn up early for your first run so that you have time to complete your second run before the courses close.

The control descriptions will be printed on the maps, and separate loose copies will be available at Registration.

Punching system:

The EMIT touch free professional system will be used.

Emitags will be available for loan on the evening free of charge.  Please look after your borrowed Emitag, as there will be a £50 charge if you lose it.

Registration: 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Starts: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.         Courses close at 7:30 p.m.
Seniors on the Medium or Long course:     £4.00
Seniors on the Short course:£1.50
Juniors / Students (with ID):£1.50

First aid at Registration.  Refreshments will be available for sale at Registration.

Toilets in the Richmond School sports hall.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome in the Registration area, but must not be taken out on the courses.

CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event.

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the Organiser, but please remember that competitors take part at their own risk.  Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility.

Insurance: Please note that if you have competed in three orienteering events registered with British Orienteering and you have not joined an orienteering club which is a member of British Orienteering then you are not covered by our public liability insurance.
