This is the second of the six Summer Series events taking place between April and July 2019.
Location:

Parking will be in the public car park at Hardwick Country Park.  The entrance to the car park is from the A177 at grid reference NZ 346287 and the postcode is TS21 2DN.

From junction 60 of the A1(M), turn east on the A689 and follow the brown signs marked "Hardwick Country Park".

From Stockton, follow the A177 north-west to Sedgefield, turn west on to the A689 and follow the brown signs.

Parking costs £2 for two hours.  The car park closes at 8 p.m.

Terrain: The area is in two parts.  (1) A country park laid out around a central lake.  There are various man-made features and an extensive path network.  (2) An area of open land with long grass and groups of trees.
Courses:
Long5.3 km with 75m climb     19 controls
Medium     4.0 km with 60m climb15 controls
Short1.7 km with 30m climb11 controls

You can run a second course for free!  If you'd like to do this, please turn up early for your first run so that you have time to complete your second run before the courses close.

Punching system: This event will use SPORTident electronic punching.  If you have your own SI card then please bring it along to Registration.  SI cards will be available to borrow on the day at no charge.  Please look after yours, as there will be a £40 charge for any lost SI card.
Registration: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Starts: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.         Courses close at 7:30 p.m.       The car park closes at 8 p.m.
Fees:
Seniors on the Medium or Long course:     £4.00
Seniors on the Short course:£1.50
Juniors / Students (with ID):£1.50
Facilities:

First Aid at Registration.

There are toilets in the Visitors Centre, but please note that the Visitors Centre closes at 6 p.m.

Please bring your own refreshments.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome at this event, but must follow the park rules.

CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event.
Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk.  Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility.
Insurance: Please note that if you have competed in three orienteering events registered with British Orienteering and you have not joined an orienteering club which is a member of British Orienteering then you are not covered by our public liability insurance.
