PAUL THORNTON AWARD NOMINEES

The following juniors have been nominated for the 2022 Paul Thornton Awards.

Female

Livia Wright has been nominated for her creativity and hard work on creating the design for the new club jackets and O-tops.  The jackets and O-tops have been very popular with CLOK members, and have attracted many positive comments from both inside and outside the club.  They have also helped to build our CLOK spirit.  Livia has also frequently helped to run SI timing system at events, and she has competed for CLOK in numerous events, including the CompassSport Cup, the Yvettte Baker Tropy and various relay events.

Rebecca Mayes has supported the club by volunteering and helping in various roles at lots of events.  She has also competed for CLOK in various events and has progressively improved her orienteering abilities.  She has recently volunteered to take on the role of CLOK's Twitter Manager.

Male

Liam Green has been nominated for his contribution to CLOK's Couch 2 Green (C2G)programme.  He volunteered to assist at about four of the C2G coaching sessions, and was the only junior to get involved.  He has frequently volunteered to help at events, regularly competes for CLOK in team competitions, is progressing well in his orienteering abilities.

Dominic Green has planned courses for several events over the last couple of years.  He regularly volunteers at CLOK events and will always find a way to help.  He was selected as a reserve for England's team for the Interland event in France 2019 and was a scoring runner in for England in the 2020 event.  He is always a willing member of CLOK teams in interclub events and relay relay events.
