What a lovely weekend! Top class orienteering in beautiful surroundings and glorious weather.
We had a great turnout for both days.
A huge thanks to the amazing volunteers who helped everything to run so smoothly, and special thanks to the Taylors (Paul, Wendy & Cat) and Chris Wright.
In Aislaby Moor, Paul has found us a brilliantly complex new area that I'm sure will reappear in our events programme before very long!  (I think Chris Wright is already eyeing it up for the Autumn Short Race series.)
Then Sunday's event reminded us how technical Hutton Mulgrave can be. Chris really made the most of the forest. And what fantastic views back over the Whitby from the MotoX area. It would have made a really amazing setting for the final few controls of the 2020 JK Relays.
If you feel like visiting this area again later this summer, please note that subject to Government regulations allowing a "pop-up campsite" will be open in the Sunday event parking field from 12th July 2021 for eight weeks. The campsite will be for over 18s only, and well behaved dogs will be welcome (but must be kept on leads in the campsite). For further details, or to book, call or text 07775-043341.
