This is the fourth of the four Summer Series events taking place between June and August 2021.
Covid-19:

This event is being run in accordance with the British Orienteering guidance for resumption of orienteering in England.  In order to participate in this event you must agree to comply with the Participant Code of Conduct.

Key points in the Code of Conduct are:-

  • You must not take part in any form of orienteering if you should be self-isolating under the current Government guidance; e.g. if you or any member of your household have had recent Covid-19 symptoms.
  • Minimise contact with people from outside your household before, during and after your run.  Practice social distancing at all times, including before and after your run as well as when you are out on your course.  Take particular care to keep the required distance from other people in the vicinity of the Start, at download and when passing other competitors or members of the public on narrow paths, going through gates, etc.
  • Do not congregate in groups at the event.
Note: The legal restrictions on gatherings have been removed.  However, the pandemic is not yet over, and it would not be helpful to orienteering's reputation – and our ability to get permissions for future events – if local residents see orienteers displaying what could be perceived as risky behaviour.
Location:

Parking will be in the overflow car park in Preston Park, off the A135 (Yarm Road) in Eaglescliffe, just south of the A66.  Preston Park's postcode is TS18 3RH.  Once inside the park gates, turn right.  The grid reference of the entrance to the overflow car park is NZ 427156 and the What3words reference is ///iteration.yelled.stub.
