Registration / Download will be behind the Preston Park cafe, which is NE of the overflow car park.

Terrain:

The competition area includes Preston Park and the newly-mapped Tees Wildlife Area.  Follow this link to see the map.

Preston Park is suburban parkland adjoining the River Tees.  It includes open grassed areas and paths, water features, small wooded areas and several buildings.

The Tees Wildlife Area generally consists of immature woodland of varying runnability, with scattered trees, thickets and small sections of runnable wood.  It will provide a good contrast with the faster running in Preston Park.  In order to avoid disturbing a sensitive wildlife area, please keep out of the bullrushes around the central pond and marsh.

The River Tees runs through the mapped area and a busy dual carriageway is on the eastern edge of the area.  These are both strictly out of bounds.

Courses:
Course  Length    Climb  Controls

The Long and Medium courses offer as much navigational challenge as the area allows.  The Short course offers easier navigation.
