Organiser's comments

Another brilliant set of courses from Chris Wright!  Even in the confined spaces used by the Autumn Series, Chris has yet again managed to design challenging courses for everyone.  As confirmation of this, the chef in the Victorian Tea Rooms in the The Valley Gardens told me he saw one competitor on his security camera run past one way and then come back looking lost.  He wondered if he should go out and offer help.  No names ...... but I happen to know it was one of the leaders on the Open course!

The comments I heard at download were all very positive, so well done indeed to Chris and everybody who competed.

The rain kindly held off for the racing, but the control collectors weren't so lucky, so special thanks to Becky King, who was shadowing the Organiser role with a view to organising her own events – we all thank her for stepping up for that and wish her luck for the future. Thanks also to Clare (Hunter) for helping set up.

All in all, the beautiful surroundings of Saltburn were a fitting finale to this year's series.
