Terrain: |
This is the first ever opportunity to run on this wonderful scenic golf course. Many thanks to Mike Edwards and the Bedale Golf Club Committee. The competition area is a golf course and surrounding grounds. It consists of very open 'parkland', with short cut grass interspersed with small copses of deciduous and coniferous trees. The area is gently undulating, with no significant undergrowth even in the trees, and is ideal for fast running. The cometition area in intersected by Rand Beck, which is not crossable at any point other than the bridges. There are two ponds and a large marsh, plus ditches, bunkers and steep slopes. All of these should be visible even in low light and, in any case, are well away from optimal routes. Notes:-
