Message from PFO:-
"We don't often get to welcome a host of teams in this neck of the woods and are excited for you to see the beauty that East Lancashire / Rossendale brings. You will find many long-distance walking paths, including the Pennine Way, the Pennine Bridleway and the Mary Towneley Loop, not to mention the famous Pendle Hill and Howgills to the north. Gisburn Forest and the Forest of Bowland offer great mountain biking trails and walking / running opportunities. For the more adventurous, Rossendale Ski Slope is based in Rawtenstall, 6 miles from the event. For the more relaxed, you can catch the East Lancashire Railway, a steam powered train, from Ramsbottom and take a tour of the stations along the very pretty Irwell Valley. Just a few miles over the border into Yorkshire are the pretty market towns of Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, made famous recently by the Happy Valley TV series. And last, but not least, we have plenty of Turf Zones around here for those interested!"
