Lake District Coaching Day

    CLOK logo

The Orienteering Foundation is organising a Coaching Day in the Lake District on Saturday 23-Nov-2024.

CLOK will be participating in the Coaching Day, with CLOK coaches designing navigation exercises and providing on-the-day coaching.

The Coaching Day can be combined with the Cumbrian Galoppen event at Bethecar on Sunday 24-Nov-2024.  In order to facilitate this, CLOK has booked a bunkhouse close to Bethecar.

Further information

Coaching Day
location:
Colonel's Drive, north of Graythwaite to the west of Windermere.
Details:   For more information, visit the Coaching Day web page on the Orienteering Foundation web site.
CLOK involvement:

CLOK coaches will design navigation exercises and be available for on-the-day coaching.  We will meet in the parking area on the morning of the event and head into forest, where we will establish a 'base camp' where paricipants can leave their warm jackets, drinks and snacks while they're doing the exercises.

Further details, including timings, will be available in early November.

Non-CLOK
members:
'Friends of CLOK' from other orienteering clubs are welcome to join us, subject to the availability of spaces.
Cost:

CLOK will pay the Coaching Day participation fees for CLOK members.  For non-members, there will be a charge of £10 per person to cover the participation fee and the cost of printing maps.

There will be a £2 parking fee (paid into an 'honesty bucket').

Sunday event: The Sunday event is a Cumbrian Galoppen event at Bethecar.  For details, visit the event web page on the Lakeland Orienteering Club web site.
