Terrain: |
This is a rare opportunity to run on this area. The competition area is a golf course and surrounding grounds. It consists of very open 'parkland', with short cut grass interspersed with small copses of deciduous and coniferous trees. The area is gently undulating, with no significant undergrowth even in the trees, and is ideal for fast running. The cometition area in intersected by the River Wiske, which is not crossable at any point other than the bridges. There are three ponds, plus ditches, bunkers and steep slopes, all of which should be visible even in low light and, in any case, are well away from optimal routes. Notes:-
Please take care not to stray on to the driving range. It will be in use, and you would be at risk of injury from flying golf balls. The driving range is well lit and visible on all sides, and it will be pointed out to you at the Start. | ||||||||||||
