Terrain: |
Hartburn Beck and the Six Fields Nature Reserve are mainly gently undulating former grass farmland, with hedgerows and ponds. There is a small complex area on the site of a former brickworks, centered around Harburn Brick Pond. To the south-west, there is an area of largely runnable woodland. The Long and Medium courses will make a brief visit to some quiet residential streets in Hartburn Village. Full leg cover is mandatory, due to nettles and brambles. As the ground is very hard at present, studded shoes are not needed and are discouraged. As always, please be considerate to other users of the area.
Courses: |
The course details are subject to final controlling. The Long and Medium courses are TD4 (i.e. Light Green standard). The Short course is TD2 (i.e. Yellow standard). Under-16s can run any course unaccompanied. They and everyone else should take particular care on the streets in the urban area.
