MAP MAKING COURSE

Army Orienteering and BAOC are sponsoring a map making course over the period 9th - 11th June 2026.  It will take place in Phoenix House, Catterick Garrison.

There are 8 places on the course, and 3 of those are available for civilians.

Participants will need to complete an extensive, 3-month pre-course study period, during which they will complete a range of practical activities using OCAD and receive feedback from the course tutor to facilitate learning and skill development and progression.

All required learning materials and an OCAD licence will be provided.  The licence will be valid from 1st March 2026 and until 31st July 2026.  Thanks to OCAD for providing the licences.

The course is suitable for novices and experienced users of OCAD.  However, novices will need to devote significant time to the pre-study so that they can get the most out of the course.

You can sign up for the course via Racesignup, where you will also find additional information about the course.
