For an overview of the Couch 2 Green/Track 2 Green programme, head over to the main Couch 2 Green page.

Our 2022 Autumn Couch2Green course is running from August to October. Part 1 is based in parks around Darlington, and part 2 at Flatts Lane Country park, a forested area between Middlesborough and Guisborough. Part 1 is designed to take you from never having tried orienteering to an ‘orange’ standard (beginners – intermediate) orienteering course and Part 2 is designed to take you from an ‘orange’ to ‘green’ standard (intermediate – hard) course. If you have previous orienteering experience or have already completed Part 1 of C2G you are welcome to register for Part 2 only.
For the first time, the course will be run as two groups in conjunction with each other this Autumn. This means every Saturday there will be a walkers group (C2G) and a runners group (T2G) at the sessions. If you are a walker or aiming to slowly build up your running from scratch you should enter the walker’s group which will aim to build up to 3-5km of orienteering by the 8th session. If you are already able to run 5km or further in 30-40mins or faster you should enter the runners group which will aim to build up to 5-10+ kms of orienteering by the 8th session.
