Policy for Subsidising CLOK Members

The Committee would not want CLOK members to miss opportunities because of financial constraints, and would invite discussion about individual circumstances and special cases outwith these guidelines. Initial contact should be with the Treasurer, who will confer with the Chair and Secretary about exceptions.

Would be agreed 'if and when' on a case-by-case basis (but it's very likely that some support would be given). The club did pay entry fees (but not travel costs) when we made the 2013 final in the Forest of Dean.

Yvette Baker Trophy	Full entry fees for the first round and final. CLOK does not have a standard policy for paying for travel expenses to the first round or final from general funds. However, see the notes. (This money is set aside for supporting juniors.) Requests on a case-by-case basis for money from CLOK's general funds (and this has frequently been agreed on a case-by-case basis in previous years to subsidise coach travel to the Yvette Baker Trophy final. Contributions from juniors and / or adults. (Usually coaches are not asked to pay.)

National representation (Junior tours, GBR team / squad, SHIs, Interland, etc.)	Up to 50% of the personal contribution, with an annual limit of £450 for juniors / full-time students and £300 for seniors	CLOK Committee 11-Dec-2006, item 4. Revised by the CLOK Committee in September 2024	At the CLOK Committee meeting in December 2014 (item 6) it was agreed that: Full time students count as "juniors", so receive up to the £450 limit. This benefit also covers GBR squad membership contributions (just started being charged and going towards squad activities; e.g. training camps). This benefit is subject to Committee approval (and, for example, we may refuse if it appears that someone is only joining the club to take advantage of the benefit without actively contributing towards the club; e.g. running in relays, helping at events, etc.) Feedback by way of an article for Tchimes is expected.
