CLEVELAND ORIENTEERING KLUB
(CLOK)

CLOK logo

CLOK is the local orienteering club for Cleveland, South Durham and the northern part of North Yorkshire.  Many of our competition areas are around the scarp slopes on the northern and western edges of the North York Moors, including areas of fast open runnable moorland and intricate wooded hillsides.  During a CLOK event you might pass close to the eye-catching landmark of Roseberry Topping, or run right past Captain Cook's Monument.

We have orienteering maps of a number of parks and woodlands in the built-up areas of Cleveland -- including Middlesbrough and Darlington -- and a range of permanent orienteering courses, virtual orienteering challenges and virtual running routes.  We also provide support for orienteering in schools.

We usually organise approximately one event per month.  See the Future Events page for information about events in the near future.

In 2004 CLOK was one of the first two orienteering clubs in the UK to achieve Sport England's Clubmark accreditation.  For further information about Clubmark and what it means for CLOK click here.
