For an overview of the Couch 2 Green/Track 2 Green programme, head over to the main Couch 2 Green page.
Our 2024 Spring Couch2Green and Track2Green courses are running from April to May. This course uses multiple locations across the Cleveland area. You will go from being a complete orienteering beginner to being able to complete an ‘orange’ standard (beginners – intermediate) orienteering course and then from an ‘orange’ to ‘green’ standard (intermediate – hard) course. If you have previous orienteering experience or have already completed Part 1 of C2G you are still welcome to join this course!
The course will be run as two groups in conjunction with each other this Spring. This means at every outdoors coached session there will be a walkers group (Couch2Green) and a runners group (Track2Green). If you are a walker or aiming to slowly build up your running from scratch you should enter the walker’s group which will aim to build up to 3-5km of orienteering by the last session. If you are already able to run 5km or further in 30-40mins or faster you should enter the runners group which will aim to build up to 5-10+ kms of orienteering by the last session.
The Midweek Online Session is run of Microsoft Teams, and will be recorded so if you cannot attend all these sessions then you can watch them afterwards instead! There are also some ways that we can help you can catch up with the course even if you can’t attend every session!
